If you have digital security cameras, the monitoring software will probably run on a computer system and a computer monitor would probably be a better idea.
If your setup is based on IP Cameras, there is no use in buying custom monitors, since you can view the camera output from a standard computer in the network. It might be a good idea to get a large, high-resolution computer screens for the surveillance personnel.
